What You Need To Know About Sausage Pizza And Wine
The typical pizza sausage is an Italian or Italian-style pork sausage flavored with fennel or anise. You are welcome to try German, Polish, or other sausages including salami on your pizza. But for some reason the Italian style sausage is much more popular. To be honest sausage is nowhere nearly as popular a pizza topping as pepperoni.
In addition to the wines mentioned in our food pairing table you might consider a Chardonnay. As always, if your pizza has mushrooms as well, I would consider a Pinot Noir.
