Trout calls for the right wine pairing.
While Trout is bony, it is a popular food fish whether caught in the wild or farmed. Experts can distinguish among the dozen different trout species; me, I like them all. Once you have tasted a freshly-caught pan-fried trout you may never eat fish sticks again.
In addition to the wines mentioned in our food pairing table you might consider an Alsatian Pinot Gris or a Provençal Rosé for Grilled Trout and Sancerre for Pan-fried Trout.
