A steak is a slice of meat, typically beef, usually cut perpendicular to the muscle fibres, for increased tenderness. Steaks are usually grilled or pan-fried and tend to be relatively expensive. Popular steaks include rib steaks, T-bone steaks, and Porterhouse steaks.
In addition to the wines mentioned in our food pairing table you might consider a Zinfandel or a Chardonnay. Don't ruin a great steak by serving it with a mediocre wine.
