Aglianico del Vulture
The red
Aglianico del Vulture wine was accorded the DOC designation in 1971. It is made from the
Aglianico red grape variety in much of the southern region of Basilicata near Mount
Vulture. It was the first southern DOC wine. Suggested food pairings include

Albarino
Albarino is a variety of white grape in the northwestern region of Spain and northern Portugual.
It is known for fruit flavors. Suggested food pairings for Albarino wines

Aligoté
Aligoté is a generally pedestrain variety of white grape grown in the famous wine
region of Burgundy, France and elsewhere such as Canada. The best Aligoté wines are said to
come from the Burgundy village of Bouzeron.

Amarone, one specially produced fine wine.
Amarone
Amarone is a very special, powerful northern Italian red wine made from shriveled grapes that
have dried for several months. It is a full-bodied wine weighing in at about 15% or
16% alcohol, and tastes of chocolate, mocha, and dried figs. Suggested food pairings include
Steak au Poivre (Pepper Steak)

Italian Parmesan cheese.

Auslese
Auslese is a German language term for a sweet late harvest wine. The grapes
