An Optional Word About Navigation

If Content is King, then Navigation is Queen. Everybody knows that without the Queen, the King is sorely incomplete. We are proud to provide you with numerous navigational options. The left-hand column lets you access a few detailed sections such as wine articles and food pairings. The right-hand column contains references to all remaining sections. We figured that you would rather do an extra click than scroll miles down the page. You can always refer to a section, detailed or not, by its mini-home page. All categories include a mini-home page. At the bottom of each right-hand menu is a reference to each of our websites.

Each page's footer provides a clickable site map. Most of the information categories contain additional navigation options. For example, you don't need to know whether a given grape variety is red (some would say black) or white to access it. For your convenience we include a list of famous and not so famous varieties. The grape varieties contain extensive cross-reference links, we believe in hypertext. At present there are two wine glossaries. They include alphabetical links at the top and the bottom of each page, and extensive internal links. The wine and food category includes pairing suggestions that are linked to our wine list. The wine list is organized like a glossary of wines. Finally, the wine articles are divided into my own French, German, and Italian wine articles and twelve guest sections ranging from buying wine to wine tours and trails. A clickable list of articles by author and title appears towards the top of each section. For more information scroll down the page to read our summary of each article and a relevant quotation, from that article. Once you start to know our authors, you'll want to read more of their work. Simply go to the author list.

Read enough about navigation? It's time to start clicking.
