Every year around early to mid-November it's a real scramble to get the new wine
to its destination as soon as possible. It seems that there are still many people who
want to taste nouveau wine, such as Beaujolais Nouveau, as soon as possible.
Nervous
A nervous wine is a brisk,
dry white wine
that needs to
age somewhat.
Nose
A wine’s nose is its overall
aroma,
bouquet, and smell.
Nouveau wine
A nouveau wine is a light, fruity, unpretentious wine that was grapes not long
ago. The classic is Beaujolais Nouveau, available in mid-November.
Such wines should be consumed relatively soon after purchase, if at all.
Nutty
A nutty taste is positive for sherries and some white wines, but is often a
flaw in the case of red wines.
