Ajaccio
Ajaccio AOC wines come from the island of Corsica southeast of the French mainland. These wines are red or rosé, usually made from the local Sciaccarello grape.

Alsace
Alsace AOC wines come from the famous Alsace wine region of northeastern France. This is an umbrella classification; most Alsatian AOC wines are sold under varietal classifications.

Alsace Grand Cru
Alsace Grand Cru AOC wines come from selected areas in Alsace; they are usually made from white Muscat, Riesling, Pinot Gris,or Gewurztraminer grapes.


Anjou
Anjou AOC wines come from the Loire Valley region of central France near the city of Saumur. The reds are mostly Cabernet Franc, sometimes with a little Cabernet Sauvignon. The whites are 80% or more Chenin Blanc. The rosés are predominantly made from the local Grolleau grape.

Anjou-Coteaux de la Loire
Anjou-Coteaux de la Loire AOC wine is a rare, sweet white wine from Chenin Blanc grapes grown southwest of Angers.

Anjou-Gamay
Anjou-Gamay AOC wine is usually a new wine made from the red Gamay grape.

Anjou-Villages
Anjou-Villages AOC wines are made from the red Cabernet Franc or Cabernet Sauvignon grapes. They are considered among the top Loire Valley wines.

Anjou Villages Brissac
Anjou Villages Brissac AOC wines come from selected villages in the Anjou area.

Arbois
Arbois AOC wines come from the Jura region of eastern France near the Swiss border. These wines may be red, white, or rosé. Some of the whites and rosés are excellent.
